Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas is a state licensed child placement agency. Our experienced, compassionate staff works closely with birth parents and adoptive couples to match newborn babies with their forever families.
Birth Parents: We provide non-judgmental support to birth parents who opt for adoption over parenting. We understand that it’s not an easy journey. But it’s one that you don’t have to take alone. We are there every step of the way helping you create an adoption plan that’s right for you and your baby. You choose who will adopt your baby from a qualified list of those who have completed an adoption application and home study which includes background information, education, references and more. All services are provided to birth parents free of charge. To learn more about Catholic Charities’ birth parent services, click the button below.
Adoptive Couples: We help married couples considering adoption who have dreamed of having a baby, but are unable to conceive due to infertility or other medical conditions. Before beginning the process, all couples must agree to an open adoption, since we believe that children are best served by preserving their connection to their family of origin. Prospective couples are encouraged to explore adoption on our website and Catholic Charities’ program philosophy. Foster Families: Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas’ programs focus on adoption and pregnancy counseling for birth parents and adoptive couples, but the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas provides resources for foster families. The Foster Care Taskforce supports children and the families who care for them, ensuring that every child has an environment where he or she can thrive. Learn more.
