Xavier Catholic School donated an incredible 794 pounds of food to our Leavenworth Family Support Center food pantry! We are so grateful to these young students, across the metro and in rural areas, who are helping us fight food insecurity during these uncertain times. Thank you so much!

The community has responded in a big way to the increased need in our community, due to the delayed release of SNAP benefits. We are in need of some extra hands to help us sort the food so it can get into our pantries and in the homes of our neighbors in need quickly. We are hosting volunteer groups on Monday, November 17 to help us do this work. Thank you for your help and support!
Youth Volunteer Policy
- Youth between the ages of 10-13 must have a parent/guardian present.
- Youth 14 and older are able to volunteer alone.

This past year, the Catholic Charities Foundation of Northeast Kansas received a generous grant from the Walmart Foundation to raise awareness of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and to provide individuals in need help with enrollment. This is the eighth consecutive year that @catholiccharitiesks has been awarded the grant!
With the reduction and delay of SNAP benefits, families in need are frequenting our food pantries for assistance. Read our recent response to the pause of SNAP benefits at the #LinkInBio.
