Today is the start of @welcomingweek! From September 13-22, organizations and communities join together to celebrate the work being done to welcome and be inclusive to neighbors of all backgrounds and nationalities.

We invite you to be a part of Welcoming America! Save the date for October 22 from 4-6PM, when @catholiccharitiesks will be hosting a Refugee Volunteer Open House at the Merriam Plaza Library, and you can learn more about the programs that support our refugee and immigrant families.

A huge thank you to @maurhillmountacademy for their incredible donation of 504.5 pounds of food that was collected during the school`s football and volleyball jamboree! Your generosity will go a long way in supporting those in need through our food assistance programs.

Our Wyandotte County Family Support Center and food pantry will close tomorrow at noon due to a water shut-off to the building. All walk-in appointments will be canceled. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.

Today is World Day for Grandparents and the Elderly! We want to take this moment to celebrate the incredible contributions of our senior volunteers. Many seniors are actively involved in a variety of our ministries, including the Foster Grandparent Program, grocery store rescue, Refugee & Immigration Services, @turnstylesthrift store, food pantries and more.

We are grateful for their dedication and the amazing efforts they make to join us in serving our neighbors in need. 💙
