Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas, a member of Catholic Charities USA and a ministry of the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas, has served our community for over 65 years.

Families navigating the challenges of a serious illness often face more than just medical concerns. The financial burden of treatment or prolonged hospital stays can add extra worry to an already stressful situation. Recognizing this, local hospitals, @childrensmercy and @saintlukeskc, have partnered with @catholiccharitiesks to provide resources to patients and their families. These partnerships will provide @catholiccharitiesks with unrestricted funding to help support individuals referred by the hospitals.

It was wonderful to have the kids from Trinity Vacation Bible School visit our Atchison Family Support Center! The kids learned the basics about our programs, how our pantries run and about serving our population who is at risk for homelessness. They also made meal, birthday and hygiene kits and donated them for those we serve!

The transition to our new Topeka office is underway! Formerly the home of Let`s Help, this space will continue to aid our community through our current programing and the continued work of Let`s Help`s beloved Hot Meals ministry. Thank you to the Kansas Department of Insurance`s employee-run charitable committee for raising $3,688 in support of Let’s Help Inc! We are grateful for that partnership continuing with Catholic Charities, and we look forward to serving our neighbors in need across Topeka and Shawnee County.

Shalom House Men`s Transitional Living program provides a safe and supportive environment for men transitioning from homelessness or other difficult situations to stable, independent living.
Our program offers various services, including case management, counseling, life skills training and employment assistance. The goal is to help these men gain the skills and resources they need to succeed in the long term on their own.
