Founded by the Roman Catholic Church to meet the needs of the most vulnerable in our communities, Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas looks to Sacred Scripture and the traditions and teachings of the Church to guide our mission.

Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas, a member of Catholic Charities USA and a ministry of the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas, has served our community for over 65 years.
Our Impact
Every year, Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas animates the Gospel by putting love into action. See our impact over the past fiscal year and the difference we are making in our community.
Several of our Family Support Centers (FSCs) are in urgent need of volunteers who can help our staff provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere for our brothers and sisters in need.
FSC volunteers assist with various tasks, including stocking the food pantry and monitoring front-desk calls, among other duties. Training is provided.

Recently, students participated in a serve experience where they learned more about our mission, donated items that will benefit those in need served through our programs and volunteered at our @turnstylesthrift stores, Hope Distribution Center and @newrootskc training farm.

Our ReCONNECT team recently took mentors and mentees to volunteer at @heart.to.heart.international in Lenexa, Kansas. Together, everyone helped assemble and package hygiene kits that will be mailed out to areas of need, including local, national and international locations.

A huge shoutout to the Knights of Columbus at @hscparish – Council #11661 for their ongoing support. Their monthly food drives, along with the Knights of Columbus Food for Families Program provides generous in-kind and monetary donations that help us purchase and provide food for families in need.
