Volunteer and Learning Opportunities

Are you looking for a way to give back to your community? Do you want to participate in meaningful work with a bigger purpose? Consider volunteering with Catholic Charities! We have several immediate volunteer needs, such as:

OVERLAND PARK:

eBay Team Member: Catholic Charities has a team of volunteers who list and sell items from our TurnStyles Thrift stores on eBay, generating over $75,000 each year for Catholic Charities’ programs and services. Volunteers must be willing to commit to four hours a week.

Information Technology: Support the IT team through various tasks, including setting up computers, creating badges, installing appropriate software and cleaning out files. Seeking volunteers Monday-Friday during business hours.

WYANDOTTE COUNTY:

Family Support Center – Food Pantry: Volunteers are needed Tuesday mornings to help assist shoppers, stock shelves and sort food. Volunteers are also needed to assist at the front desk, checking in those we serve, answering the phone and completing data entry Monday-Friday. We ask for a weekly four hour commitment.

Shalom House – Groups of volunteers that are 18 years of age and older are needed at Shalom House through our Dinner Ministry program. Volunteers prepare a dinner for 30, dine and socialize with the gentlemen that live at Shalom House. This opportunity is a monthly or one time volunteer commitment.
