We pray for those in Florida as they prepare for Hurricane Milton, and for those in the Southeast dealing with the widespread devastation from Hurricane Helene. Local Catholic Charities agencies are on the ground providing life-sustaining assistance and @ccharitiesusa is coordinating relief efforts.  Additionally, Catholic Charities will be working in the months and years to come to provide support to the affected communities. Our Archdiocese is asking parishes to take up a 2nd Collection and the Archdiocese will remit all proceeds to Catholic Charities USA for Disaster Relief. Join us in two weeks for our Refugee Volunteer Open House! Staff members from our case management, youth mentorship and literacy teams will be available to share how you can get involved in helping our refugee neighbors.
Did you know that this week is National Digital Inclusion Week? 

You can help refugees improve their computer literacy by volunteering with @catholiccharitiesks' Digital Inclusion Program. We're looking for tutors and instructors to provide one-on-one assistance in classroom and remote settings.

Several of our Family Support Centers (FSCs) are in urgent need of volunteers who can help our staff provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere for our brothers and sisters in need. 

FSC volunteers assist with various tasks, including stocking the food pantry and monitoring front-desk calls, among other duties. Training is provided.

Recently, students participated in a serve experience where they learned more about our mission, donated items that will benefit those in need served through our programs and volunteered at our @turnstylesthrift stores, Hope Distribution Center and @newrootskc training farm.
