Larry and Sandra Davalos-Lesser are newlyweds in the Topeka area. Larry volunteers for Corita’s Corner Sandwich Ministry preparing sandwiches and Sandra is a volunteer for the Friendly Visitors Program offered by Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas.

Larry and Sandra volunteered at the Friendly Visitors booth at the annual Senior Information Fair held at Topeka and Shawnee County Public Library on September 21, 2016. Over 350 seniors attended the event, which was a great opportunity for the public to learn about volunteer opportunities for older adults. Door prizes were also available.

Sandra also volunteers as a social visitor for Friendly Visitors and she is a delight. She has a smile that is so welcoming and a heart full of love! This is her second event in working the Friendly Visitors booth — she worked an employee-focused Mental Health Conference at the Stormont Vail Health medical facility in Topeka recently.

Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas is blessed to have ready and willing volunteers like Larry and Sandra who put into action our mission and vision.

Thank you, Larry and Sandra, we love and appreciate you so much!
