Helping Our Rural Neighbors in Need: Our Leavenworth Family Support Center (FSC) Needs Assistance

Our Leavenworth Family Support Center is preparing to launch the Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) in the coming months. This expansion will open our doors to even more families seeking food, clothing and compassionate guidance. Our staff are filling the gaps as best they can, but the demand is growing faster than our team. If you have a heart for service and a few hours to spare, please consider filling a volunteer shift. We have immediate openings for volunteers in the following areas:

Clothing Closet

Help sort, hang and display donated clothing and assist shoppers in finding what they need by volunteering in the Clothing Closet. Volunteers are needed for the following shifts:

  • Monday Mornings: 1 consistent volunteer needed
  • Thursday Afternoons
  • Friday Afternoons: 1 additional volunteer needed

Front Desk

Greet guests, answer phones, schedule appointments and be a welcoming first point of contact for our clients. Volunteers are needed for the following shifts:

  • Monday, Wednesday and Thursday Mornings: 1 volunteer for each shift
  • Tuesday Mornings: 1 volunteer needed
  • Monday-Friday: Anyone with afternoon availability would be a huge blessing!
