A new volunteer had started working within our Wyandotte County (WyCo) Family Support Center (FSC) clothing closet. She informed the FSC Manager that her friend had recently moved and wanted to donate a large amount of clothing.

A few days later, the volunteer’s friend came in to drop off her donations. During her visit, she noticed that the clothing closet did not have many items for men. Due to the high volume of unhoused men who come to the WyCo FSC for assistance, donations of men’s clothing are always in need. After her visit, the volunteer’s friend and her husband went shopping for men’s clothing items to donate.

Thanks to the kindness and generosity of someone who saw a need and immediately stepped into action, 15 men now have brand-new coats. We are forever thankful to our caring volunteers and donors!
