Sign Up For A 2021 Farm Share With New Roots For Refugees

New Roots for Refugees is excited to announce that sign-ups are open for 2021 Farm Share CSA! The Farm Share program allows farmers in our training program to practice their skills while providing the greater Kansas City area with fresh, local, and naturally grown produce.

Each week, members of the program receive 5-7 different seasonal vegetables at one of our four public pick-up sites around Kansas City, or a private delivery location to groups of 10 or more. Additional items such as extra vegetables, flowers, and honey can be added to your order depending on availability. There are two summer sessions this year: Early Summer, May 12-July 22, and Late Summer, August 4-October 14. Both seasons are $24 (+tax) per week, but members who sign up for a full summer will receive one week free!

Farm Share is a great option for those who don’t have time or are uncomfortable attending farmer’s markets. In addition to eating fresh and varied vegetables, participating in the Farm Share program supports refugee farmers and provides a reliable income. In the words of third year farmer Biak Par, “Thank you to Farm Share customers for purchasing a share, we are able to survive in difficult times.”
