Order of Malta Grants $10,000 to Shalom House

The Order of Malta Federal Association granted $10,000 to Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas for our Shalom House men’s shelter.  The funds will help the men continue to receive the health and educational support they need to reach self-sufficiency and leave homelessness for good.

The Order of Malta is active in 120 countries caring for people in need through its medical, social and humanitarian works. Locally, the Knights and Dames from the Order put the association’s inspiring principles of serving the poor and sick, in action.  Nearly each week, they serve dinner and hospitality to the men of Shalom.

Thank you, Knights, for all your work, and on behalf of the 120 men your grant will help this year, a big thank you to the Order of Malta Federal Association for your financial support of our work.
