Helping Our Neighbors In Need! Ways to Make a Difference

How You Can Help

Citizenship Class Tutor: Work in small groups in a classroom setting to help students practice English skills and learn civics material required for the naturalization interview. Classes are held on Wednesday evenings from 5-6:30 pm. Night Classes are now held at 600 Minnesota, Kansas City, Kansas. We ask for at least a three-month commitment.

Front Desk Volunteer – Wyandotte County Food Pantry: We are in urgent need of front desk volunteers at our Wyandotte County Food Pantry located at 600 Minnesota Avenue, Kansas City, Kansas. For this role, volunteers will be answering phones, checking guests in, and will be trained to enter services into our database. We ask for a three-hour weekly commitment. Volunteer shifts are 9 am-12:30 pm or 12:30 pm-4 pm. If you are interested in taking on a volunteer role at the front desk of the food pantry, please contact us.
