Whether it’s the 259,394 times Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas provided food, the 2,908 times shelter was given, or the 171,603 times that clothing and personal hygiene products were distributed to our neighbors in need, none of this (and much more) would be possible without the selfless support of our volunteers.
Each and every month, over 1,700 volunteers dedicate nearly 20,000 hours of their time to carry out the mission of Catholic Charities and help others right here in our community.
On November 21, Catholic Charities hosted a Volunteer Appreciation Mass & Reception at Holy Spirit Catholic Parish. Following Mass the volunteers were treated to a wine and cheese reception in the parish social hall.
“We loved getting to celebrate our wonderful volunteers at this year’s Appreciation Mass & Reception,” said Cari Olberding, Catholic Charities’ Volunteer Engagement Coordinator. “We could not do the work that we do without the love and generosity our volunteers bring each day. Thank you for your servant hearts!”
