Refugee Welcoming Week begins on September 9! During Welcoming Week, organizations and communities bring together neighbors of all backgrounds to build strong connections and affirm the importance of welcoming and inclusive places in achieving collective prosperity.

Friday, September 10th- Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas will host an Open House at the 600 Minnesota location in Kansas City, Kansas. Come check out the building and learn about what we do! Topics will focus on Refugee and Immigration Services. Snacks and refreshments provided.

Monday, September 13th- Join Communities Concerned for Immigrants & Refugees (CCIR) for a panel discussion on refugee resettlement processes and hear from national representatives and the resettlement agencies in the Kansas city metro on both sides of the state line. The event will be live streamed and offered in person. Lunch will be provided to those attending in person. Monday, September 13th– Come learn about the refugee experience with short films and discussion.
