Snow Ball’s Millions Provides Help and Hope
The 43rd Annual Snow Ball returned to its Kansas roots and proved “there’s no place like home,” raising a recordbreaking total $2,348,061 for Catholic Charities Foundation of Northeast Kansas!
Jay and Lynn Reardon served as Snow Ball presidents for the successful blacktie gala attended by more than 1,850 guests at a new venue, the Overland Park Convention Center. The evening’s festivities included a cocktail reception, formal sitdown dinner and dancing to music provided by the Lost Wax band.
Honorary Presidents Don Foley, Rich Teahan and Pat Wilkerson were recognized for their steadfast support of Catholic Charities. “These three men are great friends who have kindly and generously supported the mission of Catholic Charities, along with their families, for over four decades,” adds Jay Reardon, noting that they were part of Snow Ball when it was a simple gathering of friends committed to a single cause helping those in need.
Today, Snow Ball is crucial to the more than 20 programs and services to help the poor and most vulnerable at all stages of life offered by Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas throughout a 21county service area. “It’s amazing to see the dedication and generosity year after year from our hardworking committee members, their families and friends, as well as the community,” says Ken Williams, President and CEO of Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas. “They’re passionate about not only giving help, but giving hope to the families we serve.”
