Although many things have changed this year, our commitment for feeding the hungry remains the same. Every year, we distribute turkeys to those we serve with the hope that these individuals and families will be able to enjoy a Thanksgiving meal.

This year 2,500 turkeys are being distributed through our programs and our Family Support Centers. Over half of the turkeys given out are from generous donations from parishioners at Church of the Ascension, Curé of Ars Catholic Church, Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Divine Mercy Parish, St. John Paul II, St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Parish, Church of The Nativity, Church of the Holy Cross. We are also grateful for our many community partners, including Seaboard Foods who donated 75 turkeys for our distribution.

Camille Pickhinke, Director of Community Engagement, says, “Our turkey distribution helps establish a sense of normalcy for the holidays.” Even though this year has been different for everyone, we are blessed to receive support from so many, which helps us continue our mission of serving those in need during the holiday season.
