EVENT SERIES – Catholic Spiritual Care for the End of Life: The Importance of Decision-Making

Hospice Patient with Archbishop Joseph Naumann

This Catholic Community Hospice event series is presented by Dr. Catherine Powers, Medical Director; Donda McLaughlin, LMSW, LCSW, Parish Liaison; and Brent Doster, LMSW, Bereavement Coordinator.

Have you ever thought about end-of-life care for you, a spouse or a parent? What would it look like? Would your faith play a role?

It’s scary to learn that you or a loved one have a life-limiting illness. What does that mean when it comes to medical care? And what do you want spiritually at the end of life? It’s a difficult discussion, but planning helps ensure that your wishes are honored. It also makes it easier on loved ones who may be asked to make those hard decisions about your care.
