Hello!

Thank you for taking the time and interest to read our story through this profile book and learn a little bit about us. We are Rafael and Paola. You have been in our thoughts and prayers for some time, and we hope you are doing well and staying healthy.

Adoption is a significant decision that is not easy to make. We may not fully understand the challenges you faced in deciding to adopt, but we admire your strength in bringing new life into this world. Choosing this path is a powerful demonstration of selflessness and love. We also see adoption as another way God nourishes his loved ones. It is the opportunity to love and be loved by choice.

Family is our top priority, and we cherish food and music, which are essential to our culture. Married for nearly two decades, we hope to love each other for many more. We enjoy traveling and socializing with friends.

After experiencing a difficult journey with infertility, God has opened our arms and hearts to parenting through adoption. While we cannot promise your baby a life free from pain or hardship, we will stand by their side through any challenges that arise and will love them unconditionally.

We invite you and your baby to be part of our lives and create wonderful memories as a family. Our family may look different, but it will be special in its own way.

We have prayed for that special birth mother and child for so long, and we hope you are the one. We look forward to meeting you soon.

Our Story

We met through friends at a birthday party, and it wasn’t the best start. However, a few months later, we built a great friendship in our church’s youth group.

Over time, we realized we had feelings for each other, which grew into love. Rafael got an opportunity to work in the US and decided to take it. Our love was strong enough to handle distance and time. We stayed in touch as much as we could until we could no longer be apart. We got married after a couple of years of living in different countries. We had our civil wedding one week after his proposal and four months after we received God’s blessing in our church. Since then, we have become not only partners but also best friends and lovers.

We started our journey in Florida and later moved to Kansas. We both worked hard to achieve our professional goals and feel blessed to have each other. We are grateful for the opportunities we have encountered. We have traveled and enjoyed our time together, but our hearts are also hoping to become parents. We are ready to share our unconditional love with a child and expand our family through adoption.

Extended Family

Rafael’s parents, Maria and Rafael, live with us due to their age and health issues. In our culture, it’s common for extended families to stay together, and we see this as an opportunity to support one another. Rafael’s sister, Rosemarie, lives in Kansas with her husband, Ivan, and their two dogs, Nala and Manuela.
Paola’s extended family is in South America, and we visit them every couple of years. We’re fortunate to have FaceTime to maintain close communication with her family.
We also consider our close friends to be like siblings.

Our Home

We love the quote, “Home is where loves reside, memories are created, friends always belong, and laughter never ends.” Our home is filled with warmth and love, ready to welcome you and your baby.

Our Favorite Traditions

We have family traditions that strengthen our bonds. Simple practices, like praying before meals, and our designated family day on Saturdays, bring us together. We celebrate elaborate occasions such as Christmas and New Year’s Eve, filling our home with lights and ornaments. Birthdays are marked by cake, decorations, and heartfelt moments as we honor each family member. These traditions, whether simple or festive, create lasting memories and reinforce our connections, making our time together meaningful and memorable.
