Volunteer Job Title: Grocery Store Rescue Driver  

Start Date: ASAP 

Length of Commitment: 1 Year 

Time Commitment: 3 Hours per Month 

Days of the week: Tuesday 9:30am-11:30am & Thursday 9:00am-12:00pm 

Drivers and helpers are needed for our Tuesday and Thursday routes.  Both routes dispatch from Hope Distribution Center. Volunteers work with a partner to collect food at various store locations (Hy-Vee, Target and Walmart, and transport food to a Family Support Center. This requires volunteers to drive an agency vehicle. 

Duties and Qualifications 

• Collect racks of bread from bread supplier. 
• Transport bread to the Family Support Center or Hope Distribution Center and roll racks into the pantry.
• This requires volunteers to drive an agency vehicle. Volunteers must be 21+   
• Volunteers are asked to commit to a weekly route.
