Resource Bus
Committed to Serving People in Rural Areas of Northeast Kansas
The Resource Bus serves 15 counties in which we do not have a physical brick and mortar building. It is equipped with basic essentials including food and hygiene items. In addition, a case manager is available to provide rent and utility assistance, as well as community referrals. To find out if you are eligible for financial assistance, an appointment is required. Guidelines for Financial Assistance
To qualify for rent assistance, you must provide:
- 3 day notice to pay or quit, eviction notice or late notice
- Proof of income for the last 30 days for all adults in the household
- Copy of lease
- Driver’s license or State identification card
Verification of Income
Paycheck stubs for the past 30 days, letter from employer if the person is paid in cash, SSI/SSD printout or bank statement showing deposit, SRS printout, Social Security award letter.
To qualify for utility assistance, you must provide:
- Past due bill with shut-off notice or disconnection notice
- Proof of income for the last 30 days for all adults in the household
- Driver’s license or State identification card
