Help Give Hope
After the tragic loss of her teenage son to gun violence, Maria faced trauma, job loss and eviction. Turning to Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas’ Lawrence Family Support Center (FSC), Maria was able to join the homelessness prevention program, remain housed and start a new life of stability, hope and healing. With the continued support of the Lawrence FSC team, Maria is now working full-time and continuing to work on rebuilding her life.
Maria’s story is one of nearly 6,000 lives touched in our Lawrence community last year by Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas.
We invite you to be a part of the hope our client’s experience through the Lawrence Family Support Center by joining us in celebration on September 25th!
Your gift brings hope to neighbors in the Lawrence area facing hunger, housing instability and hardship. Last year, the Lawrence Family Support Center served over 4,000 individuals with food assistance and helped nearly 150 people secure safe housing.
Together, we can continue this life-changing work. Your support stays local and directly impacts those in need by:
- $50/month can provide transportation to and from work for a Workforce Development client.
- $100/month can purchase 35 lunches for the Kids Summer Food program.
- $250/month can provide St. Rita Workforce Development program participants with gear needed to work in Skilled Trades, Healthcare and IT fields.
- $500/month can keep a family safely housed by assisting with emergency rent and utilities.
