Dhan Rai grew up in Bhutan, and speaks Nepali. He moved to the United States in 2010 with his sister and aunt. His favorite vegetables to grow are potatoes, noodle beans, and mustard greens. His favorite part of farming includes the intergenerational importance of farming in his family. “My father, grandfather and forefathers were all farmers, so I am proud to be a farmer too.” Dhan Rai sells at the Overland Park Farmers Market on Wednesday afternoons and Saturday mornings.
