The New Roots ELL Tutor will meet with refugee farmers to review English lessons and practice conversational English in the farmer’s home or designated location with the aim of improving English skills to further business development.

Duties:

• Use the New Roots English for Farming Curriculum to study English lessons and provide conversation practice.
• Report volunteer hours to Catholic Charities staff
• Encourage self-sufficiency

• Complete necessary ongoing trainings

Qualifications:

Required

• Fluency in English
• 18 years old and older
• Teaching experience required. Teaching English language learners or Special Education preferred.
• Experience working with diverse backgrounds and families experiencing poverty preferred
