Would you like to help empower refugees living in the Kansas City area? Consider signing up for a Farm or Flower Share with our New Roots for Refugees program. Sign-ups are now open!
The Late Summer Farm Share is a weekly vegetable subscription that allows customers to support our farm and farmers by paying upfront (or in installments) for several weeks of fresh, locally-grown vegetables. Customers receive 5-7 items each week, and all produce is grown by farmers in our program. Farm Share produce may include beets, carrots, lettuce, potatoes, tomatoes and more! The share will run for 11 weeks, from August 2nd – October 12th.
Our new Flower Share will run for six weeks, from August 2nd – September 7th. The Share will include a weekly flower bouquet containing flowers grown by New Roots farmers. Both the Late Summer Farm and Flower Shares can be picked up from the same pick-up locations, located conveniently throughout the Kansas City metro.
Pick-up locations are:
- Plexpod Westport Commons: Wednesdays (11:30am-1pm)
- Black and Veatch World Headquarters: Wednesdays (4:30pm-6pm)
- The Merc Co+Op KCK: Thursdays (11:30am-1pm)
