When you make a gift to support Snow Ball, 100% of the proceeds benefit Catholic Charities Foundation of Northeast Kansas. Funds raised from the annual Snow Ball event are unrestricted gifts, which means that Catholic Charities uses the funds to support its areas of greatest need.

For the past four consecutive years, the annual Snow Ball has raised more than $3.0 million – a monumental achievement in the event’s storied 47-year history. The annual Snow Ball is responsible for contributing more than 50% of all private donations to Catholic Charities each year. The impact of Snow Ball is significant on Catholic Charities ability to serve across its 21-county footprint. Catholic Charities puts love in action, serving people of all faiths, and operating more than 20 programs. The results are both effective and efficient – with 91 cents of every dollar going directly to help those in need.

No, 100% of funds support the mission of Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas.

No, Patron gifts are separate from purchasing individual tickets, or a table, to attend the Snow Ball event. The success of the annual Snow Ball hinges on Catholic Charities ability to raise unrestricted funds, or Patron gifts, which are 100% tax deductible contributions. Last year, more than $3 million was raised from Patron gifts.

Yes! The annual Snow Ball would not be successful without our faithful and generous volunteer fundraising committees. If you would like to learn more about serving on a volunteer fundraising committee, please contact Kelly Kearney, Chief Development Officer, at 913.433.2030 or kkearney@catholiccharitiesks.org

To attend the annual Snow Ball event in-person on Saturday, January 15, 2022, individual tickets are $300 per person. Another great way to attend is to organize a table with your family, friends, parish or business. A Snow Ball table can be purchased for $3,000 for 10 people. We would love for you to join us to celebrate the 48th Annual Snow Ball!

We would be happy to help you with this! Generally, we can add two more seats to our tables comfortably with additional ticket purchases. If you have more than 12, a family style table might be the choice for you. Please reach out to Theresa Gaul to discuss further, tgaul@catholiccharitiesks.org.

This is an important piece of Snow Ball. Your guests will be able to check in and get an individualized place card to tell them what table you are at. We will need to know who will be at your table by December 23rd, 2021!

Technology Guide

Welcome to Snow Ball! This tech “cheat sheet” outlines step-by-step instructions on setting up and testing your equipment prior to the event. We want you to enjoy every minute of the fantastic show we have planned, so keep reading!

Catholic Charities will provide all registered guests a link to our private online broadcast. We will have our technology staff standing by ready to troubleshoot should you have any issues connecting to our link.

Do you have a technology question in advance of Snow Ball? Please reach out to techsupport@harvestkc.com

There are 3 easy options to connect to the Snow Ball Gala private broadcast link:

Option 1: Direct Viewing
Internet enabled device with a web browser: i.e. Laptop, PC, Mac, phone, tablet, Android/Smart TV

Option 2: Connect to TV HDMI
Internet enabled device with web browser, TV, HDMI cable

Option 3: Cast to TV
Internet enabled device with web browser and TV

Connect to our Private Broadcast Event

Technology can be challenging, but we want you to have the best opportunity for optimum viewing. Please take some time prior to January 15 to get your system set up.

Option 1: Direct Viewing – The Easiest Option!

Tune in to Snow Ball through a web browser using your desktop computer, laptop, tablet, Smart TV or mobile device.

  1. We recommend using an up-to-date modern browser such as Google Chrome, Safari, or Firefox.
  2. Click on the private link sent to registered guests, and you’re in!

Option 2: Connect to TV using HDMI Input

Watch Snow Ball on your TV with an HDMI cable connection to your computer. If your TV is less than eight years old it should have an extra HDMI input on the back or side. The cable TV box probably occupies one slot. Before ordering a cable, identify the length needed to connect your device to the TV.

  1. Turn your TV and computer off. Connect both into AC power.
  2. Plug one end of the HDMI cable into your computer’s HDMI output jack.
  3. Plug the other end of the HDMI cable into your TV’s HDMI port. Note the label by the HDMI plug, like “HDMI 2.”
  4. Turn on your TV and computer.
  5. Use the TV remote to change the source/input to the port where you plugged in the HDMI cable. “HDMI 2” in the example above.
  6. Using Chrome or your web browser of choice, go to snowballgala.org/live. Click the play button and then the maximize screen button.

The video will play on both the device and TV if you are mirroring or you can extend the desktop. Depending on your device, you may have to use your computer settings to select the TV for sound output.

Option 3: Cast to TV

If you have AppleTV, Chromecast, DLNA or Miracast, you can cast stream from your device onto your television.  However, this one can get tricky and setup depends on the TV you have.  If you have AppleTV, Chromecast, DLNA or Miracast, follow these steps:

  1. On your mobile phone or computer, go to snowballgala.org/live.
  2. In the lower right corner, click the maximize screen button, to expand it to full screen.
  3. Locate the cast icon in the top right corner of your browser window.
  4. Select the TV where you would like the video to play.

You should see the video starting to play on your TV screen.
