By participating in New Roots for Refugees’ Farm Share program, you are helping to empower local refugees who are contributing to the community by growing and selling organic produce and florals.

Kids Summer Food Program

Our Kids Summer Food program is still going strong, but is in need of volunteers around the KC metro area! Volunteer responsibilities include:

  • Setting-up and cleaning-up of meal areas
  • Distributing meals to children and adults
  • Tracking meal counts
  • Participating in activities with kids to encourage attendance
  • Informing library patrons about the Summer Food Program and inviting them to join
