Did you know that Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas provided food assistance over 248,000 times in 2016? This summer, Catholic Charities is taking this initiative to the streets of northeast Kansas through the Summer Food Program and providing lunches to kids and adults that may otherwise go hungry.
Bring your friends and family together and join Compass in supporting the Summer Food Program! Sign up using the link below to donate an item for the lunches or to volunteer your time and help to assemble the lunches.
Date: Saturday, July 8th
Time: 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Location: Holy Trinity Catholic Church – Father Quigley Faith Formation Center, first floor
Our goal is to make 100 lunches for parents to enjoy with their children. Here’s how you can help:
1 – Donate an item for the lunches and drop off to us at our Overland Park admin office at 9720 West 87th Street by or before Thursday, July 6th. All donated items must be in individual packages. You may sign up for more than one slot (especially if you are a Sam’s Club or Costco member)!
2 – Volunteer to help pack lunches. Times are listed below. Children are welcome to attend! For the young ones, we will have a special opportunity! They can help decorate a hope card to be packed with the lunches!
